King Kohli is back with a bang; scores his 71st century
Virat Kohli has finally ended the long and desperate wait of the Indian fans as he scored his overall 71st century in international cricket and first since November 2019. He smashed an amazing score of 122 of 61 balls in an overall score of 212/2 against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup Super4 match in Dubai. This is the highest score by an Indian batter in the T20 format. Virat Kohli has been out of form since 2019 and this moment was hailed by Indian fans all over the world. Congratulations started pouring in for the 33-year-old Indian cricketer.
Though Team India won the match yesterday against Afghanistan the overall performance of India in the Asia Cup has not been praiseworthy. It has rather been disappointing. They have suffered consecutive defeats in the Super4 stages of the Asia Cup tournament. India and Afghanistan were knocked out of the Asia Cup after Pakistan defeated Afghanistan in Sharjah. India lost to Pakistan in their opening game but Virat Kohli scored an imperious score of 60. Then, India lost to Sri Lanka by six wickets in a very close match.
After taking sporadic pauses following the Indian Premier League 2022, former India skipper Kohli discussed his return to the Indian squad. After taking a sabbatical from playing competitive cricket, Kohli told the network Star Sports that he has been feeling lighter. The former captain opened up about his training regimen, mental health, and what he adds to the Indian team in an honest interview.
It wasn’t only the workload associated with playing cricket; additional events also contributed to Kohli entering that realm, he added. “I am feeling light for sure,” Virat Kohli said.
He also thanked his fans on Twitter and wrote “Thank you for all the love and support throughout the Asia Cup campaign. We will get better and come back stronger. Until next time.”
Fans of Virat Kohli went crazy with madness as their favourite cricketer finally completed his century against Afghanistan in the Asia World Cup. Though wishes poured from all over the world in order to congratulate him, but one tweet from the Twitter Handle of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) went viral.

Virat Kohli is one of the most widely loved cricket players of Team India and a former captain of the Indian Team. Recently, he resigned from the captaincies of all cricket formats after some internal disputes with BCCI. He has always been known for his aggressive temperament both on the field and off-field. But fans love this attitude and have named him King Kohli. And we wish for him to be in this form always till his dignified retirement.
